長榮大學於1992年創立，位於台灣南部，是隸屬於台灣基督長老教會的一所私立大學。該校致力於激發上帝賦予每個學生的恩賜和能力，營造博愛，尊重和服務的文化。這所大學年輕又充滿活力，但其歷史可以追溯到1885年成立的台灣第一所西式中學（現長榮中學），力求忠于基督教的博愛和服務理想，繼續台灣教育先行者的角色。目前長榮大學設有管理學院、健康科學學院、人文社會學院、資訊暨設計學院、神學院及永續教育學院等6大學院及博雅教育學部，共有25個學系、16個碩士班、15個學士學位學程、4個獨立研究所、1個博士班，在校生總人數約為10,000名。

 

該校護理學系歸屬健康科學學院，成立於1997年。秉持基督精神辦學，特別重視學生人文素養的培育。學系除開設具有特色的科學與人文、靈性護理與護理歷史課程，也積極參與海內外社會服務學習。目前設有學士和碩士課程，約有300名學生。

 

長榮大學交通便利，緊臨中山高、南二高，並擁有全國唯一之「長榮大學站」—高鐵聯外系統與該校共構設立之車站，可搭乘高鐵於台南站下車後，轉搭台鐵沙崙線至長榮大學站下車。該校環境優美資源豐富，校景深具基督牧羊人特色，且有舉辦國際會議經驗，除國際會議廳設備完善外，並能提供住宿及餐飲服務，是2018年護福主辦PACEA大會首選理想場地。

 

 

Introduction of Chang Jung Christian University

 

Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) is a private university located in Southern Taiwan. Affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, the school is committed to developing the God-given gifts and abilities of each student within a culture of love, respect, and service. The university was founded in 1992, but its history dates back to 1885.They set up Taiwan’s first Western-style high school (Chang Jung Senior High School), and strove to be loyal to the Christian ideal of love and service, the role of pioneer in Taiwan’s education. There are currently five colleges including University School of Management; Health Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences; Information and Design, as well as Theology. There are currently twenty-six bachelors programs, eighteen masters programs, and one doctoral program. The total number of students in the school is about 10,000.

 

The school of Nursing belongs to the College of Health Sciences and was established in 1997. Upholding the spirit of a Christian school, special attention is given to cultivate students in the humanities. In addition to the creation of the Department of Science and Humanities, spiritual care is parted in the nursing history curriculum. We are also actively involved in domestic and international community service. Bachelors’ and Masters’ programs currently have about 300 students.

 

Chang Jung Christian University is conveniently located between Sun Yat-Sen Freeway (Highway No.1) and Formosa Freeway (Highway No. 3). It has the only university rail station in the country - “Chang Jung Christian University Station”- part of the extended access system co-established by Taiwan High Speed Rail and the university. Visitors can take the high speed rail to Tainan Station, and then take the national rail (TRA) Shalun extension to Chang Jung Christian University. The university sits in a beautiful natural environment and has abundant resources. The campus interior and exterior both represent a strong influence of Jesus the Good Shepherd. The university is experienced in organizing international conferences. It has well-equipped large conference halls, and provides full accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal venue for PACEA Conference in 2018.
