Ephesians 4:12-16 New International Version (NIV)12 to equip his people for works of service, so thatthe body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reachunity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son ofGod and become mature, attaining to the whole measureof the fullness of Christ.14 Then we will no longer beinfants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blownhere and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunningand craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow tobecome in every respect the mature body of him who isthe head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does itswork.

Learn to Love One Another

The maturity of a believer needs to learn and servewith one another through the love of Christ. We establishourselves in love and mutual fulfillment. In the end, wecould witness to the world about God’s love, hope, andglory. Therefore, for the growth of NEF, the connectionbetween brothers and sisters is indispensable. After Ireceived the positiong of the chair of NEF in 2015, myinitiate prayer to God was to give me wisdom so I wouldknow how to connect brothers and sisters in a closelyway. I prayed to Jesus that I could learn how to cherishand affirm each co-workers’ characteristics and performance.
Giving them a great amount of understandingand encouragement instead of criticism and assertions. In my first year as the chairman of the board, I experiencedGod’s response to my prayers. During the nationalprayer meeting of NEF, we experienced the work ofthe Holy Spirit. Our brothers and sisters confessed withone another as well as embraced with each other. Godalso made me realize that service is not the focus of theministry, but the person who participated in the process.Jesus established the best example for us. In John 21,after Jesus resurrection, he revealed to his disciples. Hehad not criticized them returning to their old professionas fishermen. Instead, he helped them to catch the fishesfor the night. His approaches to the disciples was turningtheir failure into victory. He also sympathized those discipleswith long night fruitless labor work. Jesus grilledfishes for them and relieved their tiredness. As the chairof NEF, I continue to learn how to love each NEF membersand help them grow constantly in love.

The Connections of Team Relationship:Vision and Care

Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no revelation,[c]the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keepsthe law. (NIV)” The fellowship group is made up of eachindividual. In order to try to balance our works, lives, serves at churches, and yet continuously devote themselvesto NEF, one must first be moved and inspired bythe visions. Therefore, NEF has annual goals to drawbrothers and sisters who share common visions and servetogether. Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that hewho began a good work in you will carry it on to completionuntil the day of Christ Jesus. (NIV)” We need toseek the visions from God, know our commitments toGod, and God will ultimately move and assemble Hisworkers to accomplish His purpose.
Through the discussion between the supervisorteam and core co-workers every three-year, the NEFEvangelical Association has established an annual targetand implementation strategies. Via an annual membershipmeeting, a nationwide joint prayer meetings and retreatmeetings, messages will be shared to all our friendsin Taiwan.
At present, all districts in Taiwan, North, Central,South, and East, according to the consensus of the districtchairpersons and association members have developeddifferent group meeting modes: Clinical nursesgroup, clinical nursing supervisor team, long-term careteam, retirees group, Christian teachers group, and Christiannursery groups. At the same time, according to thecharacteristics of each group member, different gatheringmeeting modes were developed. They will maintain agreat connection with each type of groups in the year-endThanksgiving parties.
How to strengthen the relationship between groups?Continuing care is an indispensable element. Throughthe care of the body, mind, and spirit, we first establishrelationships, use companionship, listen and pray for oneanother, ultimate goal is to lead each other to experiencethe grace of God, and gradually bring inspiration to theWords of God, surely help those who receive our carewill turn to God.
In the past two years, I have successively developedthe clinical nurse team, clinical team, postgraduateschool group, and university nursing team in Tainan. Atthe beginning of the group’s establishment, we must firstask the Lord’s co-workers to pray and continue to prayfor the group’s desire for God’s purpose. Before the establishmentof these groups, my sisters who had servedwith them had been continuously caring for potentialmembers. After the group was formally established, theclinical team was busy with the monthly meetings. Theactivities started were witnessed and shared. One yearafter the interaction, the members expressed their desirefor God’s Word, increased the frequency of the meetings, and read the Bible.
In order to develop reading Bible as a daily habit, they read and share 5 to 10 Bible passages per daythrough the App of Line Group. As for the graduate studentsgroup, they long to know more the Words of God,so a formal Bible Study was arranged. They gatheredfor one hour every week. The participants took turns tolead the Bible study. This group nurtured new leaders forthe generation. The group of university nursing studentsaimed to prepare them for pre-cultivation sharing thegospel and giving thematic study. They invited other studentsto come and enjoy a free lunch. In the process, wehave a deeper understanding of Philippians 1:6, “ beingconfident of this, that he who began a good work in youwill carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Conclusion

The growth of NEF is definitely not by strategy ormethod only. Instead, there are people who are willing toput forth their five loathes and two fishes. They serve oneanother in prayers and help each other, seeking God’swill, and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, feelthe needs of the members at our group. Then meet theirneeds of the soul and to experience God’s renewal andvictory in our lives.
